How do I change my DNS?
First, you will need to contact your hosting
service for their DNS servers. For example, SimpleHost.com name servers
are currently:
- Primary: NS.SIMPLEHOST.COM
- Secondary: NS2.SIMPLEHOST.COM
Note:
If you do not use SimpleHost.com as your hosting service, then the nameservers
listed above will not work. Contact
your hosting service for their DNS servers or sign up for web
hosting at SimpleHost.com.
Second, log into Domain
Manager and click "Manage Name Servers". If you
encounter any problems logging into the Domain
Manager, click here
for possible reasons why.
After you click on the "Manage Name Servers" link, you
will need to enter your new DNS servers in the "Manage Name Servers"
area, which is represented below:
IMPORTANT: You do NOT need
to replace the IP's of the DNS servers. Our software will do that
automatically. Also, you do NOT need to click the remove button to
change your DNS servers. If you
click the remove button, you will remove that DNS server from existence.
Finally, when you are done entering your new DNS servers, click "Save
Configuration" to save changes or "Cancel Changes"
to cancel the change. Please note that a DNS change takes 24-72 hours
to propagate throughout the Internet. Therefore it may be 72 hours
until your website is viewable.
