What is Free Email?
Free Email is web-based email, (e.g. Hotmail.com, Email.com). Free
Email will allow you to setup email addresses with your domain name
and check them via the internet.
Do I have access to my POP3 Server with Free Email?
Unfortunatley, the only access you have to check your Free Email
accounts is through the internet.
Where can I login to check my free email?
You can login to your Free Email accounts at http://mail.lowcostdomains.com.
Why might I need Free Email?
If you desired an email address that had more meaning to you, personally
or professionally. For example:
me@YourDomainName.com
Is Free Email FREE?
YES! Free Email is absolutely FREE!
How do I sign up for Free Email?
If your Domain Name is currently registered with Low Cost Domains,
log into the "Domain
Manager." Then, click on the "Manage Profile" link and select
the Free Email option.
How many Free Email addresses am I allowed?
You have an unlimited amount of Free Email addresses.
What is a "wildcard" address and can I set one
up?
A "wildcard" address allows people to send an email to "ANYTHING@YourDomainName.com"
and the message will be received under your default Free Email address.
Unfortunately, LowCostDomains.com does NOT provide this feature
as of yet.
How long will it take for Free Email to be set
up?
After you have set up your Free Email addresses, you will be able
to login within twenty-four (24) hours.
Free Email is setup, but I can not login to check
email, why?
Please allow twenty-four (24) hours for your Free Email addresses
to begin working. If after twenty-four (24) hours forwarded email
is NOT being received, contact our support
team.
Attaching
a File to an Outgoing Email Message
To attach a file to an outgoing Email Message simply click on the
Browse Button in the Attachments Area of your Message Screen. Select
the file to attach and then click on the attach button. You must
be using a Browser that supports File Uploading to utilize this
feature.
Checking
for New Mail
To check for new mail in your Lowcostdomains Free Email Account
simply click on the Inbox Icon in the Lowcostdomains Free Email
Menu. This will refresh the Inbox by checking for any new messages
on the Mail Server.
Composing
Mail
To compose an Email Message using your Lowcostdomains Free Email
Account simply click on the Compose Button in the Web-Mail Menu.
The Compose Message screen provides inputs for the recipients Email
address, CC Addresses, Attachments, the message Subject, and the
body of the message. Once the mail message has been composed simply
click on the Send Now Button to send your Email Message.
Delete
E-mail Messages
To delete an Email message from your Inbox or any other User Folder
simply select the message by ticking the tick-box next to the message
you wish to delete. Once you have selected the message (or messages)
you wish to delete simply select the Trash Folder in the "Move
to" Selector and click the "Move to" Button.
Using
the Filter Manager
Web-Mail features a Filter Manager which can filter new mail arriving
into your Web-Mail Account. You can specify up to a maximum of 5
Email Filters. To activate a new filter simply click the "Add
Filter" Button in your Filter Manager. To create the filter
you will need to nominate which Message Field you want to apply
the filter to, the text to search for in the nominated field, and
an action to take if a message matches the rule. Actions can be
either to trash the message or move it into one of your personal
folders.
Using
the Folder Manager
The Folder Manager allows you to Add, Delete, or Rename Personal
Mail Folders. To Add a new folder simply type in the name of the
new folder and press the Create Button. To Delete a folder simply
select the folder in the list of activated folders and press the
Delete Folder Button. To modify (rename) an existing Folder simply
select the folder to rename, type in a new name for the folder,
and click the Rename Button.
Forward
an Email Message
To Forward an Email message from your Web-Mail Account simply open
the message viewing Window by clicking on the messages subject.
At the bottom of the Message screen you will find a "Forward"
Button which when clicked will open up the Compose Message Window
with the quoted Message. You will need to supply the recipients
Email Address, a subject, and you may also want to attch a file
to the outgoing message. Once you have completed the message simply
click the "Send Now" Button to send the Forwarded Email
Message.
Move
to Folder
To move a Message to another Folder simply select the message by
clicking the tick-box next to the message (or messages) you wish
to move. Select the folder you wish to move them to and then press
the "Move to Folder" Button to complete moving the selected
message into the desired Folder.
Open
Folder
To open a Personal Message Folder simply select the Folder the Open
Folder Selector and then Press the "Open Folder" Button.
This will display the Personal Folder along with a list of the messages
the Folder contains.
Options
The Options Icon in the menu gives you access to some of your Web-Mail
Accounts various features including: a Contact Manager, Folder Manager,
Filter Manager, and the Mail Account Setup facilities for your Signature
and Real Name.
Reading
an E-mail Message
To read an Email Message simply click on the subject of the message
you want to read. This will open the message reading Window which
will contain the Email Message and any attachments that were included
with the Email Message.
Replying
to a Message
To Reply to an Email message from your Web-Mail Account simply open
the message viewing Window by clicking on the messages subject.
At the bottom of the Message screen you will find a "Reply"
Button which when clicked will open up the Compose Message Window
with the quoted Message. You will need to supply the message body,
and you may also want to attch a file to the outgoing message. Once
you have completed the message simply click the "Send Now"
Button to send the Replied Email Message.
Signature
File
The signature File can contain any information or text that you
would like to attach to the bottom of each Email message you send
using your Lowcostdomains Free Email Account.
Using
the Contact Manager
Access to your Personal Contact Manager can be found by clicking
on the Options Icon in the Web-Mail menu. Inside the Options Menu
you will find a Contact Manager Icon which gives you access to Add,
Modify, or delete Contacts.
