How to Setup Domain Forwarding
Note:
Domain Forwarding allows you to have your domain name automatically
redirect all traffic to another URL.
VERY
IMPORTANT: You will not be able to forward your
domain name if you do not have your Domain Nameservers (DNS) propagating
to the Low Cost Domains Nameservers. To learn more about this click
here.
How to:
To
setup a domain forwarding you will need to login to the domain
manager with your username and password. If you do not have
your username and password please click here. If
you have your username and password but still cannot login, please
Once
you login to the domain manager, click on the Domain
Forwarding link. From here, you will click the Setup
link underneath the Domain Forwarding Information Area to add domain
forwarding to your account.
If
you choose to have your domain name appear in the browser address
bar you will not be able to link any of your sub-web pages to your
domain name. You will only be permitted to domain forward to one
web page.
Example:
http://www.YourDomainName.com/anotherwebpage.html
The
above example will not work if you are already forwarding your domain
name to:
Example:
http://www.YourDomainName.com
After
setting up domain forwarding for the first time, please allow 24
hours for the setup to complete. After the first setup, you will
only need to wait 4 hours to make updates.
