How to Setup Email Forwarding
Note:
Email Forwarding allows you to forward any email coming into your
domain to any email address in the world!
VERY
IMPORTANT: You will not be able to receive email
using email forwarding if you do not have your Domain Nameservers
(DNS) propagating to the Low Cost Domains Nameservers. To learn
more about this click here.
How to:
To
setup an email forwarding account you will need to login to the
domain manager with your username and password.
If you do not have your username and password please click here.
If you have your username and password but still cannot login, please
Once
you login to the domain manager, click on the Free
Email Services link. From here, there will be two areas,
the Free Email Area and the Email Forwarding Area. You will click
the Add link underneath the Email Forwarding Area
to add a email forwarding address to your account.
A
"wildcard" address allows people to send an email to:
ANYTHING@YourDomainName.com
and
the message will forward to your already existing email address.
To set this up, click the ADD link under the Email
Forwarding area and add the address:
ANYTHING@YourDomainName.com
(You will need
to replace YourDomainName.com with your actual domain name).
You
will not be permitted to have the same email address setup under
both the Free Email Area and the Email Forwarding Area. Any email
account that you have setup besides the "wildcard" email
forwarding address will not send to your "wildcard." Also,
you can setup an unlimited amount of email forwarding addresses.
After
setting up a email forwarding address for the first time, please
allow 24 hours for the setup to complete. After the first setup,
you will only need to wait 4 hours to make updates.
